Is Brad Fittler the creepiest human being ever?

Brad Fittler may have just earned the title as the creepiest human being ever as well as a second nomination for The Frownlow Medal Hall of Fame.

The former NRL star made headlines for an extremely cringeworthy comment while interviewing two of Australia’s most popular athletes before a NRL game.

The Frownlow Medal is awarded to the player whose off-field demeanour epitomises the values of the modern-day footballer and draws attention to the status of footballers as role models to young Australians. It covers Australia’s four major football codes: the National Rugby League (NRL), Australian Football League (AFL), the A-League (Football) and Rugby Union’s Super Rugby competition. NRL player Shaun Kenny-Dowall won the inaugural medal in 2015, while NRL star Talatau Amone is the most recent recipient.

The Frownlow Medal Hall of Fame honours former players and players who received media attention in previous seasons, for similarly scandalous behaviour, and its inductees include Ben Cousins and Julian O’Neill.

Fittler was once described as the ‘drunkest human being ever’ after he was found lying outside a police station. This is what earned him his first nomination for the hall of fame.

This nomination might be just as embarrassing.

Before a Penrith game, Fittler interviewed Panthers fans and Olympic champions Jess and Noemie Fox, two of the most beloved athletes in Australia. During the interview for Channel 9, and standing between the sisters, he said:

“I’m just waiting for kiss cam to come on … on me,”

“It’s not happening.”

Noemie thought they were off air, so when Fittler asked,

“do you like it?”

“The environment here, do you like the footy?” Fittler asked again, she replied,

“We’re live?”

“Yes, we’re live,” Fittler replied.

“Yeah, I love the footy. Honestly, this is an amazing reception that we’ve received,” Noemie said.

Both sisters looked visibly uncomfortable hearing this from a married man with children of his own.

The league legend also earned nominations for trying to enter the hotel room of two women while drunk and half naked, and for refusing to raise a child he fathered out of wedlock.

The creepy interview earns Fittler an invitation to the awards night for The Frownlow Medal and The Frownlow Medal Hall of Fame, from which the Fox sisters have been warned to stay away.
